Our 28th Annual General Meeting took place on the 14th April 2026, at 14.00 at The Assembly Rooms, Clitheroe.

Following the Annual Meeting business Pauline Lowther gave a fascinating presentation on “Medical Detection Dogs”.

Refreshments at Main meetings
Refreshments at the main meetings on the second Tuesday of each month are now served at the start of the meetings, starting at 1.15pm. We are also trying a new layout, with the chairs arranged at tables in the hall. This has encouraged us to socialize a bit more, and make it easier for new members to meet others.

Dear member, I will be taking subscriptions by card payment for the year January 2026 to December 2026 inclusive at the general meetings in the coming months.
Should you wish to pay by BACS please ensure you pay into the u3a bank account as below using your name and RENEW as the reference. Your name will appear as your account payment. Please send an email to the Membership Secretary to inform him that the bank transfer has taken place.
The cost of membership as previously published is £20.00 per person.

New Finance Policy Document. The committee have recently adopted a new Finance Policy Document, based on a national U3A format. This gives guidance to the Treasurer, Committee, and Group Convenors. So we can handle our finances responsibly and to agreed standards. This Policy document can be found as a link on the Policies page. (Tab above).
The Visual Arts Study Group of Clitheroe u3a was formed three years ago. The group comprises of a small number of artists and crafters working in various media who were willing to meet every six weeks to present their work to each other, and so forming a supportive network.
